Welcome, I'm Robert (Rob) Wijers.
After 40 years in the IT world and an MSc in my pocket, I took early retirement. But quitting? That's not in my DNA. I continue to share my passion for technology in three ways that energise me: as a volunteer at PUM, as a sparring partner for IT managers, and by making educational videos.

I am a hands-on ICT expert and former senior lecturer with over 40 years of international experience in IT management and digitalization. As a PUM volunteer, I support SMEs and schools in improving their digital processes, educational approach and organisation.
My specialization lies in fast and practical analysis, process improvement, KPI development and the implementation of affordable ICT solutions, including training, processes, cybersecurity and change management.

I make videos in which I explain complex IT topics in an understandable way.

Waarom ik dit doe:
Als kleine jongen wilde ik al onderwijzer worden. Die droom heb ik uiteindelijk waargemaakt bij Hogeschool Novi waar ik de laatste vier jaar als hoofddocent studenten liet zien hoe management en IT samen werken.
Maar waarom zou ik nu stoppen? Veertig jaar aan kennis is te waardevol om in een la te stoppen. Lesgeven zit in mijn bloed, of het nu in een collegezaal is, via een videoscherm, of ergens in een ontwikkelingsland.
